Associations

Ontario March of Dimes
Ontario March of Dimes is one of the largest charitable rehabilitation organizations in Ontario, providing a wide range of services across the province to enhance the independence and community participation of people with physical disabilities. The site provides information on their Home & Vehicle Modification Program.

National Mobility Equipment Dealers Association
The National Mobility Equipment Dealers Association (NMEDA) encourages collaboration and professionalism among its members comprised of dealers, manufacturers, rehabilitation professionals, government agencies, regulatory bodies, insurance and finance companies to provide consumers a seamless solution to their adaptive vehicle needs. Viewpoint Mobility is a member of NMEDA.


 

Government

Ontario Ministry of Community and Social Services
The Ministry of Community and Social Services provides social and community services to people in need, including people with physical and developmental disabilities. The Ontario Disability Support Program is intended to meet the needs of people with disabilities and help them to become more independent.

Ontario Ministry of Transportation
The Ontario Ministry of Transportation is responsible for various aspects of transportation in the province, including licensing of drivers and vehicles, promotion of safe driving, management of highways, and some transit services.

Ford Motor Company
The website for the Ford Motor Company of Canada highlights the manufacturers' current product lineup. Viewpoint Mobility currently modifies the Ford Freestar. Please consult the sales people at your local Ford dealer or contact us to obtain information on the Ford Mobility program. The Ford Mobility Plus Centre can be reached at 800-565-8985.

Daimler-Chrysler
From the Daimler-Chrysler Canada website, you can peruse the latest offerings from Chrysler, Dodge and Jeep. Viewpoint Mobility modifies the Dodge Caravan and the Chrysler Town & Country. Daimler-Chrysler's AutoAbility Program may be able to offer some financial assistance for your modifications; consult with us or your local Daimler-Chrysler dealer, or contact the program directly (800-265-6908) for more information.

General Motors
The GM Canada website outlines the various vehicles produced by GM and its divisions. Viewpoint Mobility modifies the Pontiac Montana and the Chevrolet Venture. Call the GM Assistance Center (Canada) at 800-263-3777 for general inquiries about their mobility program; your local dealer is able to provide details on this program.

Access4Me.org
Access4Me is a new information portal and virtual support network built by and for people with disabilities, their families, friends, and support staff. This website provides information, resources and connections to others. The site is free if you sign in the member login box with a username of "access4me" and a password of "membership".
